Post Date:December 08, 2016 11:31 a.m.

1. Trainings
Let’s face it, the highlight of trainings and workshops is usually the free lunch. With three large meeting rooms, a gymnasium and an in-house caterer, the EAD Community Center is a great change of scenery for your next class. Not to mention the state-of-the art equipment that is provided!

2. Banquets
Employee Appreciation Day getting stale at your office? Look no further for a venue! The EAD Community Center has large and small space available to recognize virtually any number of people. The services and attention to detail coupled with excellent audio and visual capabilities will make your next banquet or dining experience even more enjoyable!

3. Showers / Bridal Festivities
Get your mimosas ready, the EAD Community Center is a perfect place to host engagement, wedding or baby festivities without you having to worry about the cooking or cleanup. The staff host the best parties by accommodating any special occasion with excellent service. Even better, the community center is centrally located in the parish so that all of your family and friends can attend!

4. Community Events
From expos to toy drives to college-career night, the center has hosted numerous community events for the public. Both Hahnville and Destrehan High School currently host their ring ceremonies here (See above picture). SPOILER: The United Way Battle for the Paddle is set to take place at the center in 2017!

5. Luncheons
The Edward A. Dufresne Community Center has proudly hosted large luncheons for our Veterans and senior citizens with great music and entertainment (check out clips here and here). If you are looking to host a luncheon for your office staff or business clients, come and dine on tasty food and beverages. Visit with the community center staff to customize your next event!

6. Free Play/Walking Club
New year, new you…right? When the gymnasium is not being utilized for parish sports or events, it is open to the public for free play! This is a great opportunity to play basketball or utilize the indoor track for walking Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. during operating office hours. Make sure to check the interactive calendar for availability and updates here.
