BOUTTE, La. – The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority has launched its first-ever standalone website at for the benefit of current and future public housing residents.

The site is positioned as an online hub for the authority’s residential community with up-to-date information on local housing news and events, as well as the ability to track progress on initiatives. One such current initiative is the implementation of a no-smoking rule in all housing units.

“On behalf of the St. Charles Parish Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners and staff, we proudly present our new website,” Executive Director Ben Bell writes in the site’s welcome section. “As an organization, we are committed to transparency, and we hope the site is user-friendly and easy to understand.”

Residents may provide feedback, ask questions and make suggestions via the online contact form or as comments after news items and blog posts.

The site also presents a new branding scheme for the organization, including a new color scheme and modern logo.

Residents and the public are invited to visit the site often for new information and features, such as housing site information, resident profiles, image galleries and upcoming events.

The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority’s mission is to provide decent, safe, sanitary and drug-free housing for low- to moderate-income families throughout St. Charles Parish.
