LIBRARY TO HOST WORKSHOP ABOUT STRESS EATING
St. Charles Parish Library
The St. Charles Parish Library will host its second session of “Beneath the Weight,” at the West Regional Library, 105 Lakewood Dr. in Luling this September.
The workshop is a free, three-part workshop about ending stress eating.The sessions are two hours long.
The dates and times are as follows:
- September 13, 6 p.m.
- September 20, 6 p.m.
- September 27, 6 p.m.
The purpose of the program is to help participants end stress eating and to create and implement new eating lifestyles that will result in permanent weight health.
The workshops have no lectures, diets, exercises, or products. Participants complete self-focused activities about their current and past eating lifestyles and then help each other to learn to live without stress eating. The participants agree to be positive, encouraging, and supportive while helping each other. All discussions are confidential, supportive, and candid.
SelfCare Health Initiatives, a nonprofit healthcare organization based in New Orleans, will present the workshop.
