Moving to St. Charles ParishDear Future Resident,
It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to one of the most unique places in the state of Louisiana. Here in St. Charles Parish, we're proud of the rich cultural heritage we've passed on through strong families with a zest for life. We're proud of our diverse history. And we're especially proud of the work we do.

Our parish contains more than 20 industrial and energy facilities within its borders, as well as countless large and small businesses to serve residents, visitors and even the rest of the nation. With the largest tonnage port in the nation right here in St. Charles Parish, we help get goods to places around the world. And we produce a sizable portion of America's daily oil and petrochemical needs.

But we're also a Sportsman's Paradise, boasting amazing fishing spots, hunting areas and recreational lands such as the Bonnet Carre Spillway.

I want to encourage you to patronize the many businesses and special events here in St. Charles Parish by using this guide and website as a resource. Your parish government and its excellent employees stand ready to assist you in any endeavor you may be thinking of undertaking here in St. Charles Parish.

Sincerely,

Larry Cochran, St. Charles Parish President
